In this study, we showed that the clinical and demographic makeup of EHR-linked biobanks, such as the UCLA ATLAS Community Health Initiative, systematically differs from the broader healthcare-seeking population. We examine how these differences influence genetic analyses and show that adjusting for biobank enrollment better recovers known genetic associations and changes polygenic score association patterns.
